DIY hairpin holder..

Recently I had started saving any box/cardboard for future recycling and re-using it in different things. here is one idea that came up in my mind.

Hairpin holder..

I used one box and one square cardboard (I cut it from another box -the white box in the picture- ) I cut the it with the same size of the red box to fit inside the box.

then i covered the cardboard with felt.

then I attached a ribbon  to the cardboard. with small spaces between each ribbon. but unfortunately missed taking picture for this step :(
but here how it will look like. after i place the cardboard inside the box.

Finally i decorated the box from outside with a big Ribbon bow to hide the labels :)

Hope you like it :)

My first step..

Finally i decided to participate in one of the events in my city. actually this is after i get the full support and help from my family and my husband.

The story started when my sister told me about an event will be handled at her work place to sell the handmade items and suggested me to participate with my baby's accessories.

My family encourage me to try it out and they were ready to help me.

we had 2 weeks timeline before the event starts. so we started making large quantity of each accessory type.
here is one type.

 and another type

at the same time my husband started designing a background stand. he showed me 3 options.
option 1:
option 2:
option 3:
also he designed the sticker label to stick it on each bag. the sticker included my logo, item type code, price  and my contact details.

here is how it looks like:

and another one:

A stand designed by me to display the accessories items.

finally here is the output stand :)

Overall my self and my family were so excited. but we were shocked that the event was not organized to the lever were we expecting. but it was nice experience and it give me the power to do more towards moving this hobby to a business.

DIY organza fluffy flower..

An easy way to create fabulous flowers of different materials such as taffeta, chiffon, and organza had been posted at grosgrain fabulous blog.

and the steps are as follows:
1- use Sizzix machine to make four sizes of circle, 21 circles per size and material.you can use taffeta, chiffon, and organza.

2- then spray circles with no fray spray.

3- Separate circles in groups of four by varying material.

4-Fold largest circle in half.

5-.Do the same with the other three sizes and layer them on top of each other.

6- Fold in half again.

7-Sew at bottom catching all the layers.

8- Glue clusters together in groups of three.

9-Take those clusters and glue four together for each shoe clip.

10-Cut out a rectangle shaped piece of felt (preferable in the shade shoe clip you are makin. I didn't. have any black or gray on hand) and hot glue to bottom. Glue clip on to felt.

Done !

Henna..

Henna is used since antiquity to dye skin, hair, fingernails, leather and wool. The English name "henna" comes from the Arabic حِنَّاء, pronounced [ħɪnˈnæːʔ] or colloquially حنا...

Henna has been used since the Bronze Age to dye skin (including body art), hair, fingernails, leather, silk and wool. In several parts of the world it is traditionally used in various festivals and celebrations. Especially in my country and  the surrounded Arab Gulf Countries. it's used widely in the special occasions and celebrations.
